Wanderlust

This is my favourite word and I currently have a bad case of it! For those that are unsure what it means, Wanderlust is a strong desire for or impulse to wander or travel and explore the world.

I am currently aiming to travel to 30 different countries before I turn 30 next year. I am currently at 23 and have a couple of trips planned this year. I really hope to achieve the 30 though! My next trip is to Malta and I go on Friday. I’m really excited and very much looking forward to a break. I am taking my Nan and am really looking forward to seeing the island with her. It will be a different holiday to what I am used to as we are going all inclusive and I hope to spend some time relaxing too! Usually my city breaks are spent pounding the pavements for hours exploring before finding a nice restaurant and bar to spend the evening in. My last trip was to Lisbon in Portugal last month which was fantastic! We did a couple of walking tours (one of which was a food based one), wine tasting, ate lots of custard tarts, visited churches and castles and enjoyed some sun!

This time of year is particularly busy for me as it is exam time and we also have a big arts evening to organise so it probably isn’t the best time to go away, but who can resist cheap flights over a bank holiday weekend and some sunshine!?
